Post cards and documents relating to Company "L"

The post cards and documents in this section were in the collection of the clerk of Company "L" and are available for viewing at the Illinois Military Museum, Springfield, Illinois.

The cards and documents give us a glimse into the daily life of the soldiers in Company "L" during their time training in Texas, while in Europe, and after the war ended.

Comment from daughter of Cpl Lee Reuter, Company L
On Sundays the infantry guys got to exercise the horses if they wanted to.  On the few times my dad went along for this “treat”, he always chose to exercise one of the mules.  He thought they were more fun to ride.
