Reuter, Lee Lee's daughter:

. . . at the arm of my aunt Julia who is to the right of my dad in this picture, you will see the outline of the arm patches that were handed out that day. This is actually, btw, a photograph of my dad and his two sisters. Note the Pack the soldiers carried back including the rifle. — on the ground. My aunt Louise — the young girl on the right has my dad’s “souvenir belt” with all the buttons and badges he collected slung around her shoulder. My daughter, Julia, has that in her possession now.

Corporal Joseph & Private John

CARROLL

 There were two Carrolls in Co L…. one Joseph and one John.  Joseph was the older and had been in the regular army.  Wonder if he reenlisted to be with his brother John.  John was in the 1st Platoon and Joe in the 4th.  Joe pops up in various lists in my dad’s journal when they are all at Camp Logan as he was always lending him money.
