Chiam Lieb Shargorodsky (Hyman Louis Chargo), one of Lena Miller’s (nee Shargorodsky) brothers. The postcard was sent from Russia to his parents, Sam & Tillie who had arrived in America in 1912. Chiam Lieb arrived in America in 1914 with his brother-in-law Ben Miller (Beryl Melamed); they were both in the Czar’s army.
Partial Translation:
The left part of the card is in Russian:
St[ation?] Yablonno Warsaw Province
8th Infantry Estland Regiment
6 Company
Sharogorodsky
The card is Chiam’s military unit address. The whole tenor of the text is Chaim’s attempt to make sure a letter from his parents will reach him — the postcard may have been put in an envelope as there is no evidence of a stamp or delivery address.
