Naturalization Documents

Naturalization documents typically were filed in the local County Courts, or local District Courts.

Declarations of Intention have some genealogy data and are letter size (8.5″ x 11″).

Petition for Naturalization usually has a great deal of genealogical information; The original is very large in size (Approximately 12″ x 18″).

Naturalization Certificates (Citizenship Certificates) have little genealogical data but often have photos and are letter size.

Certificate of Arrival was issued immediately prior to submitting the Petition for Naturalization. It is a short form certifying the legal entry of immigrants.
